The BNA DES Convention Center is a civic and cultural landmark envisioned as a multifunctional venue to host events ranging from large-scale conferences to intimate cultural gatherings. Located in the heart of Bangalore, the project aimed to bring together functionality, symbolic presence, and urban sensibility through strong architectural expression.
This facility responds to the community’s growing need for formal gathering spaces, blending practicality with design excellence to stand as a dignified public structure.
Design Concept
The concept behind the convention center is “Civic Identity Through Design”—an architectural response that reflects institutional gravitas while staying approachable and inclusive.
Grand Yet Accessible: A formal language of scale and symmetry was balanced with open, human-centric planning.
Cultural Resonance: Design motifs, materials, and forms echo regional identity without overt ornamentation.
Flexible Functionality: Spaces were designed to accommodate varying audience sizes and event types—from exhibitions to lectures.
